Real Estate Background:  Since becoming a REALTOR in 2005, Dawn obtained and currently holds multiple designations including: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI), Master of Real Estate (MRE) and Transnational Referral Certification (TRC).  She currently sits on the Board of Directors for two separate Natural Resource regional organizations. 

Dawn has over 30 years of sales and contract experience handling multi-hundred million dollar contracts for several telecommunications and high-tech companies.  Dawn’s experience with large and complex transactions lends itself well to real estate.  As a customer focused professional, harnessing her drive, energy and enthusiasm Dawn delivers the best results for her clients.  Her Skills and “Hustle” differentiate her.

Dawn is an active member and has served on the Board of Directors for Colorado Chapter #5, REALTORS Land Institute (RLI).  This organization is the country’s premier marketing opportunity for Land and Ranch Brokers.  She presents her top listings and uncovers buyers at the marketing sessions, where 40 to 80 Brokers attend from multiple states, 3 to 4 times each year.

Professional Background:  Prior to real estate, Dawn was a Vice-President of Sales for multiple companies, including Lucent Technologies, and Com21, where she was Vice-President of Sales for the Americas.  During more than 25 years at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Dawn was a top performer.  In 1983, she was AT&T’s Top Sales Person Nationally, and during her tenure was voted to Leaders Council for the company’s Top 2 Percent of performers multiple times.  Upon leaving Lucent Technologies in 2001, Dawn had the most consecutive number of annual sales performances for Super Achievers Club in Company history.

Education:  Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and an Executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Farleigh Dickinson University.

Chris Truax

Areas of Expertise:  More than 30 years of direct sales, contract negotiation, program/project management, construction and building materials expertise.

Real Estate Background:  Chris has been licensed in Colorado since January of 2009.  Chris has established relationships with Brokers across Colorado and around the region, thus providing him a broader base of knowledge regarding Ranches, Hunting, Fishing, and Recreational Properties throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. 

Chris focuses on fully understanding his client’s goals and objectives, so that he may match clients with the best property for them.  Additionally, he is an active participant in Colorado Chapter #5 of REALTORS Land Institute (RLI). 

An avid hunter, Chris offers insight into the Colorado hunting experience and regularly shares his knowledge and contacts with prospective clients.  Chris is truly “Customer Focused”, and expends serious energy on behalf of his clients to deliver the very best experience and results.  His Colorado market expertise stretches West from Interstate 25 to Utah, and South of Interstate 70 to New Mexico and Arizona.

Professional Background:  Chris started in the wholesale beverage distribution business calling on distributors as a marketing and sales representative for Adolph Coors Company.  In 1981, Chris transitioned to the high-tech sector, selling telecommunications & data equipment for over 20 years with AT&T, Lucent Technologies and AG Communications.  Chris has always been a high performer, and was a regular member of AT&T and Lucent’s annual Achievers Club.  In addition, he has experience with program and project management, as well as proposal development with AT&T & Lucent.  Since moving to Pagosa Springs in 2003, Chris worked in residential construction project management and building materials sales, before joining his wife Dawn to sell real estate in 2009.

Education:  Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University and he holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management for George Washington University.

Personal Interests:  Hunting, fishing, firearms, reloading, skiing, autos & trucks, travel and sports.
